Working at Jaman was fantastic. I served as the Web Developer for the Marketing department and was surrounded by extremely talented folks that challenged and grew my abilities as a coder and designer. Our team was very collaborative and most of the design you see here was produced by Dave Le and Steve Doll. Copy and Direction were provided by Cindy Emch and Ryan Ali. Finally, I built the page elements and tested for QA. I was able to provide some design work but spent most of my time coding and testing. In my next position, I would like to get back to a balance of code and design.

Below, I have posted some examples of my work on the site: TiVo partnership marketing pages, landing pages for widgets, page headers for special promotional movie collections, our current community page, two of the many newsletters I built, and the Jaman blog powered by WordPress.

This was one of my favorite projects because it gave me a chance to work with the Fireworks environment to create the navigation bar. After several draft reviews, the client and I came up with a design theme for the site that captured both their Bay Area roots but also their creative approach to project management. It was important to give the site a look that was clean, easy to use, but also reflected their wide range of services.

This was my first commissioned project. Through various drafts and many hours optimizing photos for the web, a simple and elegant design emerged. This site featured customized Flash galleries with XML databases and a lightweight Flash navigation bar that was very indicative of my design style at the time.

The client's clothing line is produced by women in Chile who wanted to bring their exquisitely hand-sewn clothes to the US market and earn income while working from home. The organization adheres to fair-trade standards and brings in a great income source for the artisans. Working with a client with altruistic practices was invigorating.

Since I was a boy, I can remember my father's photography. He has been capturing beautiful and thought-provoking images for most of his life. This site will continue to expand and include his world travels, pre-digital collections, and more of his central California treasures. The gallery pages feature the revolutionary PicLens Flash Gallery tool that allows viewers to enter a 3D gallery and fly around the images using their mouse or trackpad.
